DIGITAL LITERACY PROGRAM

The Digital Literacy Program is designed to address the adult’s computer literacy needs.  While most computer labs screen applicants and pick the most skilled ones for their trainings, this is not the case here: we take even adults that show no computer skills whatsoever. Here adults have the opportunity to start with basic computers skills that allow them to overcome the fear of breaking a computer when they touch a key or the myths that schools are just for children or for people with a lot of money.  Along the way, Universidad Popular resorts to a variety of activities to help students become an active part of their learning process.

Review on how to open/save/delete  documents

How to create folders on my document

How to create a Word document

3) DILIPRO’s Intermediate Microsoft Publisher

      Learn how to open Publisher and the possibilities

            Publications for print

      Create a website

      Create a flyer
      Create a business card

4- DILIPRO’s Intermediate Microsoft Power point

      Learn how to make a PowerPoint presentation (slide)

      Using the internet they will create a slide presentation

      Create a family presentation 

5- DILIPRO’s Intermediate Microsoft Excel

      How to create an Excel document

      How to use formulas

      Learn to create a personal budget

6- DILIPRO’s Intermediate Internet Explorer

      History of Internet

      How to log on to the internet (Home page)

      How to sent and receive an e-mail
